Modulate are an artists collective from the UK West Midlands  creating and curating experimental sound and audio visual art. We modulate spaces, design multi-speaker installations and create abstract moving image. As well as creating our own work, we have produced high quality events as Modulate since 2001, featuring international artists such as Monolake, Vladislav Delay, Jan Jelinek, Karl Kleim, Thomas Jerome Newton, Francisco Lopez,  Frank Bretschneider, SKIF++. In 2007, whie project managing a small warehouse space, we hosted artists residencies with Solu (Barcelona) and Damain Frey (New Zealand). We have a dvd release of our own work ‘Modulate 5.1′ which has been screened at festivals worldwide. We have a Modulate website and a Modulate Myspace.

 Members of Modulate were also the instigators of Oscillate, a legendary early 90’s experimental music club, which brought such luminaries of electonic music to Birmingham as Orbital, Autechre, Biosphere, Plaid, Ultramarine, Non Place Urban Field, Sun Electric, Freeform, Deep Space Network, Locust, Muziuq and many others.
